This functional, practical Foggy Mountain Plaid dog coat-originally designed for horses will keep your dog warm in the most severe weather. The Plaid Turnout Coat stays put while dogs romp and play due to its unique criss-cross belly strap design.

The same quality 3 layer construction as the Nylon turnout but with a soft plaid outer layer, rolled poly fill inner layer and lined with thick faux sherpa fleece. Measure your standing dog from base of neck (where the shoulder blades start) to the base of tail without letting the dog's back end drop down while you measure. Size=Back Length of Coat

I bought my first Foggy Mountain plaid in 1999 for my active boy Vizsla, who lived until he was 17. His coat was was passed on to my sister's Weimaraner who used it every winter until she went to the Rainbow Bridge. The jacket STILL has tons of life left but I've not got the right sized dog now and have come back to buy him a special heirloom jacket. These are the absolute best jackets on the market. They are so well made and warm.

I bought my first Foggy Mountain turnout coat for my miniature schnauzer Pippin in 1997. It was green with black straps, and was inherited by our schnauzer Cicero in 2002. He wore it his whole long life -17 years. When our next schnauzer Apollo joined our family in 2015 he got his own new turnout coat, burgundy with green straps, at 8 months old. He still wears it - warm and waterproof. I felt he deserved something new and just got the grey/black/red plaid I saw being worn by a running happy schnauzer on your website. It looks smashing on him - beautiful fabric and such a plush lining. I’d forgotten how fluffy these were when new! Can’t wait for the cold weather to have Apollo strutting his stuff in his new coat. The size 14 is still perfect for him. The best on the market - nothing else compares.

I now own two coats, a plaid snuggler I bought from a local pet store that happens to carry the brand, and I had a plaid turnout coat gifted to me. Both are amazing and so warm! The snuggler is nice to quickly throw on and off but I reallyyyy love the turnout. My mini bull terrier looks very stylish and it keeps him super warm here in Buffalo. The quality is fantastic and has withstood washing and drying just fine. Looking to purchase another, thank you for crafting these beautiful coats!

The turnout coat is awesome. Not only are there a variety of colors, the hardware to keep the coat secure on the dog is strong and compliments the look of the coat. I could have purchased a less expensive coat elsewhere, but since I was familiar with the warmth and durability of the Foggy Mountain dog coats I decided to buy my third one. The coat came quickly in the mail. Customer service is exceptional. No questions asked, if I need another one, it would be the Foggy Mountain brand

I have a coat for my dog, purchased 7 years ago. I love it, my dog loves it, it has held up to 7 years of farm dog shenanigans, innumerable rolls in poop, countless gopher hunts, and lord knows what else. I recently got a puppy, and he is finally full grown and it was time for him to get his "grown up coat" I went to order him a coat here, obviously, and imagine my surprise when my first dogs photo came up showing the colors! Anyway, these are great coats. it looks as good as it does in the picture here 7 years later.

This is my 3rd Foggy Mountain Plaid Turn out Dog Coat! They all fit each dog just like the pictures on the website and do not slip n slide around their bodies or too constricting in any place. I feel the dogs are warm and comfortable wearing them because they are made so well. I bought my first two coats in 2010, have washed twice and they look bran new.

I bought one of these coats for my Boxer in 2008. She was 3 years old at the time. She passed away in 2014. She LOVED her coat. We have 5 kids and hike all the time. We adopted another boxer, he was 10 when we adopted him and we only had him for 2 years. He wore the same coat as our first boxer and also loved it! We’re now on our 3rd boxer, he wears the same coat we’ve had since 2008. It still looks like new and keeps our boy warm on our long hikes in the snow. The fit is amazing, our dogs are comfortable when wearing their coat. The durability is unquestionable. Do yourself and your dog a favor and buy one of these amazing coats. You won’t regret it.
